Muscular Endurance

Description: Kia ora, during P.E today, my partner and I worked on muscular endurance. We were training our legs and core which was a hard mix but today I pushed myself to my full potential.

Impact on my Hauora: With a positive mindset I think we could do anything we put our minds to, and that’s exactly what happened this morning. Before we started I was freezing, standing in the corner shivering, until… I got the motivation of being in that environment and started to jog on the spot and yes that did help but not much. I think before even starting our class and having a positive mindset impacted my Taha Hinengaro as I felt the motivation. During the workout I decided to go and work by myself. I got the weights, I got the bar and got to work. Before Ataahua and I split up, even though we were training right next to each other, we were still in different head spaces and both started by doing a 10 minute workout before heading off. I started by doing 20 russian twists, 20 barbell hip thrusts and an arm workout which was 20 overhead dumbbell swings, and after every set (which I took 5) I took a 5 minute workout. Today I pushed through the pain and let me tell you it was sore. I think I used my Taha Hinengaro during today’s workout as I made decisions of my own. I came with a positive mindset and an improving attitude but I think I strengthened my Taha Wairua as I pushed myself to use my full potential.
